Therapy groups are structured sessions led by therapists trained in facilitating mental health treatment in a format with peer to peer support and feedback. In these groups, individuals can be matched according to their similarities or treatment needs, such as matching group members with similar neurodivergent conditions, such as autism or ADHD, or similar expereinces, such as grief and loss; group members can come together to share experiences, receive support, and work on common goals. Therapy groups focus on therapeutic outcomes, such as managing stress, developing coping skills, and establishing emotional well-being in a supportive and safe environment. (add paragraph below to this one).
Socialization groups provide a space where our clients can practice and develop social skills or practice reducing social anxiety in a relaxed and supportive setting. These groups often serve our neurodivergent thinkers, and may focus on enhancing communication, building relationships, and establishing social interactions through games, peer interactions, and guided activities.

Therapy groups may offer individuals several different types of benefits, including the opportunity to connect with peers who may have similar experiences, receive member feedback and support, learn coping strategies, and create a sense of community. Our clinicians are trained to facilitate groups; some of our clinicians have led groups for many years. In a therapy group session, our group members can expect a structured yet flexible therapietuic setting where peers may share their experiences, provide feedback to each other, and validate each other’s experiences and shared challenges. Sessions may include structured and options red robin discussions, activities, and exercises designed to improve emotional regulation, educate on stress management techniques, and grow self-awareness. You can inquire about the structure of the group in a complimentary consultation setting - is the group closed (meaning new members cannot join after the first group or two?); how many people are in the group?; how many facilitators will there be? etc.

Both therapy and socialization groups are facilitated by trained therapists (for all therapy groups) or group leaders with experience in working with members in structured group settings.
